Abstract
The adequate supply of the minerals is essential for the normal physiological behaviour of the animals. The toxicity or deficiency of any mineral or other nutrients in the diet is bound to interfere with the normal functioning of the body and hence the homeostatic equilibrium, which maintains normal blood composition may be affected. Since the haemoglobin content of the blood reveals the health status of the animals, the present survey study was carried out in Tarai area of Uttar Pradesh.
