Group formation is the first step of interaction among the women. They have fewer ideas about the outside of the home due to less communication beyond the family. Generally women are busy in child care activities so their participation beyond familial activities related to outside the home is difficult for them. SHG playing important role to increase the participation of women in extra activities at different dimensions such as social, economic, political and others. These facts indicate that Self-Help Group works as a tool of women empowerment.- Women and Domestic Violence:An Empirical Study
