Background: Tobacco is the single greatest cause of preventable death globally. Male and female smokers lose an average of 13.2 and 14.5 years of life, respectively. Each cigarette that is smoked is estimated to shorten life by an average of 11 minutes. Smokers are three times as likely to die before the age of 60 or 70 unlike nonsmokers. Tobacco addiction of a large number of adults has been initiated during the adolescence. Objectives:(1)To assess the knowledge of adolescent boys regarding tobacco hazards in Pre and Posttest.(2) To evaluate the effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on knowledge regarding Hazards of Tobacco among Adolescent Boys. (3) To associate the posttest level of knowledge among Adolescent Boys on Hazards of Tobacco with selected demographic variables. Material and Methods: A Quantitative Research approach, Pre experimental, one group pre and posttest design was used for this study. Data was collected from 100 Adolescent boys of selected village. Purposive sampling was used for selecting the samples. The investigator developed Structured Teaching Programme with regard to the Hazards of Tobacco. Structured knowledge questionnaire was used for data collection. Results: In post-test 92% study participants had adequate knowledge, and 8% had moderately adequate knowledge. The overall analysis of knowledge that the pretest mean is 1.8 and that of posttest is 21.91. The calculated 't' value is 87.595, which is higher than the table 't' value 3.39 at 99 df with 0.0001 level of significance. There was extremely significant difference between pretest and posttest levels of knowledge among adolescent boys regarding hazards of tobacco. Conclusion: The study concludes that boys had adequate knowledge after structured teaching programme on hazards of tobacco. Nursing personnel can educate and counsel students and general population to change their attitude regarding tobacco consumption and help them to stop consuming tobacco.Keywords

WhatsApp sends real-time messages and is one of the world’s most popular communication applications in the 21st century. While this article extends the current knowledge on the use of WhatsApp, it also highlights the Health problems of WhatsApp use by people. The world is ever changing due to the advancement in the realm of science and technology. Whatsapp is one of the changes in technology that is commonly used on specific mobile phones and computers. Along with the popularity people are addicting and getting some of health problems. Among the Health problems Whatsappitis is one of the new emerging diseases. “The diagnosis for the bilateral wrist pain was WhatsAppitis.”
WhatsAppitis, a condition caused by the excessive use of the popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, characterized by a typical wrist pain, comes in the hoary tradition of device-use related injuries. Whatsappitis is also called as De Quervain Syndrome or Tenosynovitis. Causes:- Repeated use of Thumbs for typing messages in whatsApp messenger. Best way to relieve this Complete abstinence from using the phone to send over messages. This article is describing about possible Definition, Etiology, Clinical manifestations, Diagnosis and Treatment Modalities.
