In order to secure the product quality and in addition to ISO 9000 ft, it is recommendable for technical welding firms to apply above all the EN 729 series for the optimisation of the product-specific quality management. The EN 729 defines three different levels of quality, linked, amongst other things, to various welding coordinating personnel. The EN 719 is based on their tasks and responsibility, defining the required level of knowledge of the welding coordinating personnel with regard to the training and testing guidelines of the EWF (European Welding Federation).
