Happiness which is a state of mind, generated in our brain as an emotional behaviour is now attracting the extreme attention of neuroscientists and policy makers to incorporate it in the programs, policies and studies to promote this factor which is now scientifically proven as an effective tool, not merely in accomplishing our goals in life but also to live a healthy and prosperous life. The human happiness index which was initially adopted by Bhutan as a scale of human development index (HDI) is now being discussed by most of the developed and developing nations to incorporate it as a measure of development index.- Artificial Intelligence: Its Pros and Cons

Artificial Intelligence is a recent discipline of computational science which is based on understanding the mechanism of human intelligence and designing the machines and robots that are capable of perceiving the information , learning, thinking ,reasoning, analyzing, solving specific problems with specific strategies, language processing, and speech synthesis akin to humans. Since human intelligence is a multifaceted phenomenon, artificial intelligence involves an interdisciplinary approach of study and research. Many IT companies are actively engaged in manufacturing intelligent machines and devices. Many products have come in the market and frequently used in various industries and many more are likely to come very soon. Thus, this industry is set to supersede the human resource almost in all sectors. Keeping in view its beneficial and hazardous impacts on human resource a brief overview has been given in the present article.- Science of Success in Life:Ten Basic Rules

Success is a fruit that everyone wishes to have, but very few people succeed to attain success in their life. Success is a phenomenon that has no set pattern of definition because it varies from individual to individual according to an individual’s interest, choice and goal. In general we may define success as a phenomenon when a person succeeds to achieve his/her goal that should be accomplished through right means, for consistent economic and social prosperity without harming others and possibly it should be in the interest of mankind. People may have various dimensions of success according to their perception but ‘success’ in its ambit has a pure scientific basis that is highly precise, systematic and goal-oriented and if one chases success with pure scientific temperament, one will be able to achieve it with one’s full potential.References

Apoptosis, which is commonly called cell suicide or programmed cell death is a natural and evolutionarily conserved phenomenon. It plays a role not only in the embryological development of organisms for shaping and sculpting different organs of the body but also maintains homeostasis between cell growth and cell death in adults. Approximately 50 to 70 billion cells are generated per day and the same numbers of cells undergo death in an adult human body. It involves hundreds of proteins, enzymes and transcription factors acting through highly intricate molecular pathways. Modern research has deciphered the proteins involved in molecular apoptotic pathways. These have been shown to be evaded by different types of cancer by either inducing the expression of anti-apoptotic proteins or suppress the pro-apoptotic machinery. New therapeutic research is focused on identifying and targeting the molecules that inhibit apoptosis during cancer. Keywords

Human brain which is considered as the most complex organ of the universe has grown recently as an interdisciplinary area of study. The intricate but scrupulous neuronal circuits of the brain are proven to be highly plastic in nature which gets rewired with each new learning. Complex electrochemical processes of neurons and discrete neuronal connections are manifested in form of perception, consolidation and storage of diverse memories that we call mind. It is well established now that approximately 70% health related problems have their ischolar_mains in mind that is due to psychosomatic conditions, generated through integrated psycho-neuro-endocrine-immune axis of the body that alters the neurochemistry of brain leading to disrupted body physiology.References

The Limbic System comprises certain fore brain centres, which are interconnected through neuronal circuits. These centres are responsible for the perception, consolidation and expression of various emotional responses like pleasure, sadness, anger, hate, etc. In the present article, various components of the limbic system with detailed information about their structure and function and how they orchestrate in an integrated way when a particular emotional response is expressed, have been discussed with suitable illustrations in the light of recent findings.

Life Sciences, which includes the study of diverse areas related to living organisms has made an amazing progress over the last few decades. Now this area has ramified up to such an extent that it is hard to count all its sub-areas. Initially, the journey that started with the study of few morphological, anatomical and functional aspects of plants and animals separately has achieved a milestone and is on the verge of convergence of its major disciplines. Many unraveled facts of life have got convincing answers and many other scientific mysteries are yet to be resolved.References
