Homicide, suicide and accidental shooting are not common in India. In view of socioeconomic importance of such crime cases, thorough and proper investigation are required for their solutions. Rate of conviction in our country is very low compared to other countries. In the present article the authors have described the science of identification of firearms and their ammunitions which are used in shooting incidents.
