In this work Y0.95Gd0.05CrO3 nanoparticles are prepared following sol-gel synthesis procedure. Characterization is followed by X-Ray diffraction, Transmission Electron Microscopy and Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy measurements. Band gap of the sample is estimated using Ultraviolet-Visible spectroscopy data. The dependence of dielectric constant with frequency is measured for the experimental sample. From the temperature dependence of resistivity it can be said that the sample is semiconducting in nature. The value of dc activation energy has been measured also.
