The paper surveys the Internet-based information seeking behaviour and utilisation by doctors in Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. A structured questionnaire was designed to elicit the desired information. One hundred and fifty (150) copies of the questionnaire were administered on the doctors with the cooperation and assistance of the librarians at the centre. Ninety eight (98) copies of the questionnaires were completed, returned and used for this study, which represents (65.3%) response rate. The finding revealed that nearly all the doctors have access to the Internet, know how to use it and it affords them the opportunity of applying ideas gained from the use of Internet-based information to improves their work activities. The finding also reported inadequate infrastructure to support Internet information resources utilization. The study therefore recommended that hospital management should endeaviour to overhaul their infrastructural facilities as this will motivate doctors to utilize bulks of knowledge emanating from the Internet. Keywords

Surveys the information communication teclinology (ICT) literacy among the staff members of Kenneth Dike and Nimbe Adedipe university libraries in Nigeria. The staff working in these libraries constitutes the sample of the study and selected by total enumeration technique. Data collected was categorized, analyzed and presented in tables, percentages and correlation analysis. The levels of ICT awareness of staff in both libraries are very high. The level of ICT training was also adequate. However, some of the factors that hindered the use of ICT facilities in these libraries include power outrage, inadequate technical staff for immediate assistance and constant breakdown of equipment. It is recommended that the management of these libraries make specific allowance for the procurement of ICT facilities in such a way that librarians get necessary computer facilities and software to enable provision of effective information services,Keywords
