The paper examines 21397 global publications in cloud computing research, as-covered in Scopus database during 2004-13. The annual average growth rate is 96.77%. The global cloud computing research output comes from several countries, of which the top 15 most productive accounts for 90.07% share of the global output. The largest share of output (24.12% and 21.96%) came from China and USA, followed by Germany, India, UK, Taiwan, Australia, Italy, Japan, etc. Austria registered highest share (49.83%) of international collaborative papers among the top 15 countries in cloud computing during 2004-13, Computer science contributed the largest share (79.06%) during 2004-13, followed by engineering (21.20%), matiiematics (15.47%), social sciences (4.79%), etc. The top 25 organizations and 20 authors contributed 16.16% and 3.87% share to the global output during 2004-13. Conference proceedings (62.92%) and journals (22.05%) contributed the largest share to global output during 2004-13. The top 20 journals contributed 21.81% share to its total journal output during 2004-13. Only 71 publications (out of total global publications) have registered 100 or more citations since their publication till June 2014 registering an citation impact per paper of 216.68 during 2004-13.

The present study examines 200 global publications on "Facebook and Libraries", as covered in Scopus database during 2006-14, experiencing an annual average growth rate of 109.94% and citation impact per paper of 4.94. The global publications on "Facebook and Libraries" came from 38 countries, of which the top 11 accounted for 74.5% publication share and 80.70% citations share of global publications and citations output during 2006-14. 164 organizations and 165 authors participated in global research on "Facebook and Library" during 2006-14, of which the top 27 organizations and 27 authors contributed 32% and 28.50% publications share and 29.20% and 14.02% citation share respectively of the global output and citations. Social sciences, among subjects, contributed the largest publications share of 80.50%, followed computer science (41.0%), engineering (6.0%), medicine (5.5%), business, management and accounting (3.0%), arts & humanities (2.0%) and decision sciences (2.0%) during 2006- 14. Of the total global publications, 156 appeared in 64 journals, of which the top 22 journals contributed 64.10% of the journal output. The top 20 highly cited papers registered 13 to 87 citations, and together contributed 591 citations, leading to the average citation per paper of 29.5. Based on existing studies available, the authors suggest the need to carry out a more comprehensive documentation on the existing studies on the application of Facebook to libraries, to learn about its actual usage, problems encountered and perception of users and librarians.References

This paper analyzes 510India' publications on rabies research during ten years 1999 to 2014, as indexed in Scopus International multidisciplinary database. The study focuses on various aspects of performance of Indian rabies research, such as the publication grov\th,citation impact, international collaboration, subject-wise distribution of publications, contribution and citation impact of Indian organizations and authors, medium of communication and characteristics of its high cited papers.Reveals that India's research output on rabies research witnessed an aimual average growth rate of 17.51%, registered an average citation impact per paper of 6.75 and a share of 14.51% of international collaborative publications. India's global publication and citation share in world rabies research was 6.52% and 3.08% and a relative citation index of 0.47 during 1999-2014. Medicine contributed the largest publication share (63.73%) to India's rcibies research, followed by immunology & microbiology (24.51%), veterinary science (20.20%), biochemistry, genetics & molecular biology (17.65%)), pharmacology, toxicology and pharmaceutics (12.75%), agricultural & biological sciences (8.63%,) and neurosciences (4.21%)) during 1999-2014. 159 Indian organizations and 226 authors participated in India's research on rabies, of which the top most productive 15 organizations and 14 authors contributed 55.49% and 46,67% share to its total output during 1999-2014. Suggest the need for taking several measures to control rabies effectively in India.References
