Abstract

The guiding principles of criminal justice administration in a democratic society recognize the centrality of human rights in the enforcement of the rule of law. Accordingly, detailed standards for the protection of the rights of the accused and convicted persons are prescribed. The substantive relationship between the protection of human rights and the prevention of crime and treatment of offenders is institutionalized through formal processes and procedures built into the body of rules and regulations which the functionaries are required to follow. Notwithstanding the lingering legacy of its colonial culture, the criminal justice system of post-independent India promises full and faithful adherence to the preservation and protection of human rights of the persons accused and convicted of crime. Abstract

In the India, juvenile delinquency is a social problem affecting families, communities, and society as a whole. Sociological thinkers, too, have identified a variety of factors that they believe contribute to juvenile delinquency. These factors include the lack of parents supervision; a lack of discipline; a lack parental monitoring; the lack of attachment to prosocial institutions such as school, community, and church; low income; poor housing; a large family size; low educational attainment; associations with other delinquents; drug or alcohol abuse; and the criminal behavior of parents and siblings. The role of the family as a social institution is essential to prepare children for adulthood. The family is comprised of values and norms and different statuses and roles, all of which are devoted to achieving the goals of the family as well as that of society. However, this is no easy task. Families are often scrutinized when a child displays delinquent behavior of particular concern are the ways that families might promote or prevent juvenile delinquency. Among the areas of concern when examining the link between family and delinquency are traditional family values, child-rearing practices, the influence of the mass media, and parental responsibility. Children need parental affection, support, love, cohesion, acceptance, and parental involvement. When these elements are missing, the risk of delinquency increases.

Abstract

Terrorism is now a global phenomenon identified with the spread of ideological vigilance and we are today in an "age of terrorism". The advances of science and technology, development of means of transport and communication, easy availability of highly sophisticated material, have made the present day society extremely vulnerable to unsuspected and ruthless attacks of terrorism. Terrorism today is a form of violent strategy, a form of coercion, intentional use of violence or the threat of violence. At the heart of every terrorist action, there is a cause, a political goal, a perceived injustice or denial of liberty that is as concrete to, the activist as any prime minister's notion of justice or freedom. In the light of above the present paper attempts to discuss the problem of terrorism and tries to suggest majors to reduce terrorism.

Abstract

This is an age of documents. We depend on them in many of our encounters with the complexities of modern life. They feature in our financial, legal, business, social, and personal affairs. Hardly a day goes by without some document playing a part in the life of every one of us. With their widespread use it is almost axiomatic that analytical methods should he developed to establish facts concerning documents-their source, authenticity, age, or original state.-These ate, the techniques that are to be described in the ensuing paper. In the light of above an attempt will be taken to analyse the problem of questioned documents and tries to suggest reducing such problems.
