Cognitive Radio Spectrum Sensing Using Output of PFD

A blind spectrum sensing method is proposed based on output of a PFD. It has no knowledge of incoming signals, noise or channel parameters. The detection and false alarm error probabilities are calculated. The proposed method outperforms the previous single antenna blind methods.
