Abstract

Parenting was never considered to be an essential topic of day to day conversation. With changing times and increasing demands of it, researchers globally have started to lay importance and suggest ways for healthy upbringing of children. Matter becomes grave when we are dealing with adolescents. Their own changes both physical and mental coupled with societal pressure demands better understanding and care from parents. Parents contribute hugely in bringing up healthy individuals by passing on personality traits and emotions. So it becomes vital to portray and pass on the right emotions and offer healthy parenting. Of all the innumerable emotions and virtues forgiveness is emphasized as it lays the foundation stone for a strong yet adjusting personality.

Abstract

Work environment can be both motivating and discouraging. Time spent in the office with colleagues influences the behavior and personality on an individual directly. It also lays a direct effect on the physical, social and emotional well being of the individual. Sleeping pattern gets disturbed in most of the cases. Insomnia and partial insomnia have now been recognized as an indicator of stress and pressure caused at workplace.

Abstract

Family forms the basis of socialization and personality making. Children right form birth gets attached to parents and siblings on the basis of their care, benevolence and love for them. Yet in certain cases the picture is not so rosy, as there are cases of child abuse-sexual and physical. This abuse, neglect and inhuman attitude of so-called adults in the family prove detrimental for the children because it not only affects their personality but also influences their decision-making. Healthy parenting and loving environment on the contrary shows confident individuals and better decision makers. Conscious efforts must be made to address the issue of neglect and abuse.

Abstract

Health Promotional strategies in India has changed over the years. It was preventive initially but now health care is becoming curative just as in most developed countries because it helps in increasing productivity of employees. Although preventive health care in India is in nascent stage but with highly growing competition companies have realized the value of human resource and understood that company's productivity and profit rests on employees health and work. This paper aims to present review on association between health promotion and workers productivity and power of prevention in addressing solutions for managing total health and productivity costs.

Abstract

Positive emotions were never thought as an important factor in adolescent development. Psychologists, academicians and sociologists for long have been talking about healthy growth and upbringing but the ways to enhance and maintain the same were not thought upon, until now. With changing times variables like satisfaction with life, poitive and negative affect and well being are now being studied in light of adolescents upbringing and development. But who fairs better at these positive variables? Who responds better to healthy development and which sex is more satisfied with life? This paper attempts to peep into the matter.
