The increased demand of mobile communication capacity in India, has resulted in an increase in construction and existence of cellular base station facilities in public neighborhood over recent years. They are generally considered as hazardous because of the electromagnetic radiation originating from these facilities. This has led to public concern regarding the safety and possible adverse health effects of human exposure to microwave energy emitted by these facilities. The aim of this paper is to present some preliminary measurement techniques to find the amount of electromagnetic radiation absorbed by human being living in the vicinity of multiple base station antenna towers, operating at different carrier frequencies. Keywords
