Video application is getting a necessary application inside next-generation wireless networks. However, supporting video communication over wireless networks poses many challenges resulting from fluctuations of wireless channel conditions. The  challenge  in  providing  video  multicasting over wireless networks would most likely be the channel condition of each  user in  the same  multicast group  which are probably not identical  due  to  location  of  the  user  and/or congestion  of  the  network. This paper aims at evaluating number of Quality of Service (QoS) metrics indices on the layered-encoded video multicasting IPTV transmission over Mobile WiMAX network while considering various number of modulations and coding schemes by using OPNET simulation software. It generally aims to establish a new comparison examine involving overall performance of layered video multicasting IPTV over Mobile WiMAX Networks under heterogeneous receivers, using different path-loss models along with service classes under various kinds of modulation techniques to be able to investigate along with review the conduct and performance of these models. Simulation results demonstrate that higher order modulation and coding schemes (64 QAM) yield better performance, and better video quality than others.
