Learning in the new millennium has become a challenging task. The education system has become very competitive and demands the learning community to be updated in the latest technologies. Thus a traditional method will not be efficient in the process of skill up-gradation. Also in higher education it is necessary to meet the learning needs of the individual learners. This paper presents a detailed study on the process of achieving adaptive learning in an E-Learning Environment. An analysis is carried out on the various E-learning models, learning strategies, learning style models and the e-portfolio architecture model projects that have been undergone.
