In the last few years Cloud Computing has been accepted as a core concept. Cloud computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices on demand, as with the grid. In Software as a Service (SaaS) approach the provider manages access to the application, including security, availability, and performance. The customers have no hardware or software to buy, install, maintain, or update and the access to applications is easy with an Internet connection with less investment of money. Software as a Service approach can be implemented in many advanced commercial applications like business, small organizations, banking, and education institutions to provide high security and scalability. This new multi-tenancy SaaS model can reduce the application hosting cost and make the application more affordable to the tenants because of its capabilities in customization and scalability while continuing to support an increasing number of tenants. Due to the faster upgrade cycle of SaaS software and small deployment time, the customers need not spend time and money in upgrades and deployment of the software. Flexibility and scalability are increased for all commercial applications.

The paper aims to provide Service and Software as a Service concept to provide security to the database for banking applications and also capable of providing the scalable access for computing resources and management of, commercially available software. Cloud computing can further leverage the economic benefits of multi-tenancy SaaS for the vendors by not investing in the hosting infrastructure and utilizing the cloud services and facilities to offer SaaS solutions for banking applications.
