Human beings are gifted with a sense of vision from god which is an essential one in each and every aspect of their life. The current scenario is nearly 37 million people across the world are blind. These unfortunate people are facing lots of challenges in their daily routine due to the lack of ability of visualizing. Even though there are many smart blind sticks available in market those sticks have their own disadvantages, accuracy in detecting all kind of obstacles as well as reliability. To make the visually impaired to overcome their difficulties it is proposed a portable device through which the visually impaired are assisted to get around. This technology deals with providing a smart cane using different types of sensors which senses various types of obstacles being interfaced with a microcontroller ATMEGA328 and the voice command is given to the visually impaired through GSM module which is read using an android app which uses google voice assistant and they hear it via ear bluetooth or headphones. It is designed in a way that the visually impaired can wear it as a device.
