Implementation of FPAA Controller with Programmable Control Law Generator

The speed of a single-phase motor is a highly critical parameter. The speed is typically affected by loads placed on the motor. In this work, a FPAA based variable control law controller is presented for controlling the speed of a motor. The proposed controller has an embedded variable control law functional block. The FPAA with the variable control law help in appropriately altering the guidance laws that characterize the system behavior in the event of system trying to track rapid changes in set point.
