On considering the machine efficiency, torque ripples, harmonics and power factor, three phase power is preferable than single phase power. In this paper single phase to three phase converter is implemented using two single phase parallel rectifiers and the system consists of two single phase parallel rectifiers, inverter and three phase load. The conventional system converts the single phase power from the three phase power using single rectifier so that, the total harmonic distortions are more and switch stress is also more due to high current ratings. In this paper, circulating current is reduced; stress on the rectifier switches by sharing the current between the rectifiers can be considerably reduced. The total harmonic distortion (THD) and stress on the dc link capacitors are reduced, so that losses are reduced and efficiency gets improved and provides alternative path when any of the rectifier is under fault condition and it is used in residential, commercial and farming applications. The pulse width modulation (PWM) strategy and Control strategy are implemented and the simulation results are discussed.
