An energy based model of hybrid wind solar generating system is presented other than hydropower. The proposed architecture is more reliable and power transmission efficiency can be improved than traditional power system. With both wind and photovoltaic system operating at their rated capacity the system can generate high power by incorporating Multi input rectifier and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm. The system’s power transfer efficiency and reliability can be improved significantly. This analysis is supported by simulation to verify the features of proposed topology.

Abstract

An energy based model of hybrid wind solar generating system is presented other than hydropower. The proposed architecture is more reliable and power transmission efficiency can be improved than traditional power system. With both wind and photovoltaic system operating at their rated capacity the system can generate high power by incorporating Multi input rectifier and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm. The system’s power transfer efficiency and reliability can be improved significantly. This analysis is supported by simulation to verify the features of proposed topology.
