On-Line Estimation of Reactive Power Based on Fuzzy Logic In IEEE 14 Bus System

A satisfactory operation of the power system must ensure an acceptable magnitude of voltage at all load buses. Most power system suffers from a decline in voltage magnitude with increase in load. Local reactive power support offers the best possible remedial measure. Efforts have been made to estimate, identify the location where they can be installed and optimize the requirement through rigorous procedures. However an on-line estimate of reactive power, which will help to maintain an acceptable voltage magnitude at all load buses is the need of the hour. An attempt is made to estimate the reactive power at each load buses for projected load patterns using fuzzy linguistic model based on intuitively chosen heuristic rules.
