Performance Analysis of Energy Efficient Converter for Switched Reluctance Motor

A new approach for the switched Reluctance Motor Converter is proposed in this paper. C-Dump converter circuit deals with the energy feedback to the dc link. In the proposed Converter model, the energy stored in the phase windings is utilized for energizing one of the phase windings. This model is suitable for 4 phase Switched Reluctance Motor and also for the integral multiples of 4 phase. The proposed model is simulated using PSIM software.
