Abstract

Rapid growth of information over the web is a core challenge faced by information retrieval systems. Users experience difficulties in finding the actual data as per their needs. There introduced several methods for retrieving relevant data from the web. Each method is focusing on various challenges faced in information retrieval systems. In this digital world, users are mainly focusing to manage their time. It includes the time they spend on browsing the web too. Intelligent information systems help the users to retrieve personalized data.  Recommender systems, semantic web and relevance feedback are the main methods used in intelligent information systems. This paper presents a survey of intelligent information systems.
