Abstract
Tourism globally has been recognized as a strong economic force in the world horizon. A place not only in terms of economy but also in terms of influence on the socio-cultural and environmental perspectives. With the increasing awareness in the field of tourism there are steady improvements in the wayside facilities as well as travels over the ages. Earlier in history due to the 'antiquated means of transport, ' lack of way side facilities, safety and security' and, non-availability of 'discretionary money and time' travel and tourism was considered the cup of tea of the elite and well to do class of society.
