Entrepreneurial behaviour of a farmer is influenced by several factors. This study was conducted in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. A list of farmers who were practicing dairy and possessing minimum 5 dairy animals was prepared and 200 dairy farmers were selected by random sampling method. The majority 65.5 per cent respondents had medium level of entrepreneurial behaviour about dairy management practices. The entrepreneurial behaviour of respondents was found to have positive and significant relation with the factors i.e. education, dairy experience, land holding, livestock possession, occupation, annual income, material possession, extension contact, economic motivation, market orientation, scientific orientation, attitude of dairy farmers towards dairy farming and knowledge of improved dairy management practices. The co-efficient of determination (R2) was 0.977 which indicates that 97.00 per cent variation in the entrepreneurial behaviour by all the variables together. The major constraints expressed by dairy farmers were lack of veterinary facilities in the village (68.75%). The majority 67.50 per cent respondents said storing milk in summer season was very difficult and high cost of cross breed cow/buffalo was reported by 60.00 per cent respondents. Keywords

Entrepreneurial behaviour of a farmer is influenced by several factors. The study was conducted purposively in Ladpura block of Kota district to assess the entrepreneurial behaviour of coriander growers. The total of 120 coriander growers formed the sample for the study. The primary data were collected through personal interview method with the help of pre-tested interview schedule which was prepared on the basis of objectives of investigation and variables. The statistical tests and procedures were used for analyzing the data. With the help of statistical tools like-mean, S.D., percentage and Karl Pearson’s co-efficient of correlation, multiple correlation and regression analysis were used for analysis of data. It is found that majority of the respondents (55.00%) had medium level of entrepreneurial behaviour. All the 13 selected attributes of coriander growers, were found positive and significant relationship with entrepreneurial behaviour except age, family size and mass media participation. The major constraints expressed by vegetable growers were fluctuations in the market price (78.33%).

The entry of women into the workforce as paid labour has been a gradual process extending over several centuries with a substantive increase following industrialization and World War-II. Women constitute almost half of the work force amongst in India. Women face problems and challenges in getting a sustainable livelihood and a decent life due to environment degradation and the interference of outsiders. No field operation is beyond the reach of women. The study was conducted purposively in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. The sample size for the study was 120 farm women. Most of the farm women (48.33%) were frequently occurring in health hazards in operation of agricultural activities. Out of fourteen independent variables eleven variables were found having negative and significant relationship with health hazards and only age was found to have positive and significant relationship with health hazards while family background and size of family were not having significant relationship with health hazards. Majority (75.83%) farm women suggested that medical facilities should be available at village level.

The study was conducted in purposively selected Bundi district of Rajasthan. Total of 500 agricultural loan borrowers were formed the sample for the study. The primary data were collected through personal interview method with the help of pre-tested interview schedule, which was prepared on the basis of objectives of investigation and variables. The statistical tests and procedures were used for analyzing the data with the help of statistical tools like- mean, S.D., percentage and Karl Pearson’s co-efficient of correlation, multiple correlation and regression analysis. We found that 67.60 per cent borrowers paid their dues on time and to be called as “Regular” or standard borrowers It was observed that correlation co-efficients in respect of sources of information, Cosmo-politeness, scientific orientation and risk preference were found positive and highly significant with repayment behaviour of farmers. Co-efficient of determination value of 0.5514 with highly significant ‘F’ value revealed the significance of regression equation in the prediction of repayment behaviour of farmers. Out of sixteen traits viz., caste, annual income, cosmopoliteness, scientific orientation and risk preference were found positive and highly significant relationship with repayment behaviour of farmers. Crop raze due to natural hazards as major constraints for effective repayment behaviour by borrowers and curb less financing, effective crop insurance and procedure of loaning should be more sophisticated were the main suggestion offered by borrowers for effective repayment behaviour of the borrowers. Keywords
