Abstract
This note attempts at setting out, very briefly, the manner in which India would probably be affected regarding her foreign trade in the event of the United Kingdom's association with the European Common Market (ECM). The problem is placed in a slightly wider perspective by examining, albeit cursorily, the export prospects in general for the industrial and the primary-producing countries on the ECM formation (Part I). Part II analyzes the position of India's exports to the ECM with and without the United Kingdom.
