Abstract

An investigation was carried out to study the effect of application of post biomethanated spentwash on Azotobacter population in sodic soil. The post biomethanated spentwashwash was applied prior to sowing @30,000, 60,000, 90,000, 120,000, 150,000 and 180,000 L ha^-1. The Azotobacter population increased with increase in rate application of post biomethanated spentwash upto 180 m³ ha^-1. The Azotobacter population increased upto flowering stage and thereafter it decreases.

Abstract

An investigation was conducted to find out the effect of application of post biomethanated spentwash on population of phosphate solubilizing bacteria in sodic. The application of post biomethanated spentwash was done three months prior to sowing which improved the population of phosphate solubilizing bacteria. The increase in the rate of phosphate solubilizing bacteria population is directly proportional with increase in application dose of post biomethanated spentwash from 30 m³ ha^-1 to 180 m³ ha^-1. The population of phosphate solubilizing bacteria increases upto flowering stage and thereafter it decreases.
