Electrochemical Study of 3-hydroxy-3-phenyl-1-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)triazene has been done at D.M.E in the Britton- Robinson Buffer solution between the pH range 3.5 - 8.0. The electrochemical reduction of the 3-Hydroxy-3-phenyl- 1-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)triazene (HPDCT) is diffusion controlled in nature. Well defined polarographic waves are obtained. The reduction mechanism indicates six electron reversible reduction process. Keywords

The electrochemical behavior of complex of La (III) with 3-hydroxy-3-p-chlorophenyl-1-p-sulphonato (sodium salt) phenyltriazene (HCST) was studied. It was observed that HCST forms 1:1 complex with La (III) in Citric acid and Na2HPO4 buffer solution between pH 6.0 to 7.5. It was found that the reduction process of La (III) - HCST complex is three electron reversible reduction process. The stability constant of the 3-hydroxy-3-p-chlorophenyl-1-p-sulphonato (sodium salt) phenyltriazene complex was evaluated with the Lingane method at different ligand concentrations. The logarithm value of stability constant of 1:1 La (III) - HCST complex is 18.78.Keywords

Polarographic studies of Ni (II) - 3-hydroxy-3-phenyl-1-p-sulfonato (sodium salt) phenyltriazene (HPST) and Ni (II) - 3-hydroxy-3-p-tolyl-1-p-sulfonato (sodium salt) phenyltriazene (HTST) have been done in aqueous medium. The study deals with influence of methyl group at para position of the present compounds, upon the stabilities of the metal chelates formed by them. Both systems are reversible and diffusion controlled in nature.
