A series of 1-(2/4-substituted-benzoyl)-3-benzothiazol-2-yl-thiourea were synthesized from benzothiazol-2-yl-amine and 2/4-substituted benzoylisothiocyanates in satisfactory yields. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by UV, IR, and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for analgesic activity by hot plate method using aspirin (100 mg/kg) as standard compound. The results highlights that the some compound shows significant analgesic activity.
