The present study was carried out to determine the phytochemical screening revealed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, tannins, reducing sugar and cardiac glycosides in the leaves of Bougainvillea glabra. Antrhaquinones, flavonoids and terpenoids were absent in the flowers of Bougainvillea glabra. Along with estimated the Rf Value amino acid and spectral study used to determine the λmax, The Rf Value of amino acid is 0.70, λmax of found to be 368.5 nm, standard graph of water extract shows the regression equation as y=0.0003×-0.0001.
