Abstract
Biochemistry has misrepresented ever so often as a little biology and a little chemistry. This concept has contributed to its literature being improperly documented and consequently being misplaced in library collections. Biochemistry is a major branch of science on its own and should be represented as such. A proper definition and presentation of the interdisciplinary relationships within the immediate environment of the field of biochemistry is given as an aid to more intelligent library services in the field.
