There are various databases to retrieve information; sometimes users find it difficult to select the material to be read. To make the right decision for selecting the appropriate database there are some important factors such as coverage, functionality etc. This paper compares two popular bibliographic databases - Web of Science and Scopus for their coverage and retrieval of Climate related literature. Four keywords were used to carry out the searches and the paper examines the weakness and strength of these two databases.Keywords

Generally page view and view duration help to estimate the popularity of a site they are also determining factors for estimating the extent of use of that site. This paper seeks to establish a “correlation” between the two variables, i.e. daily page views per visitor and daily time on site (view duration) of twenty five national library websites around the world to see the degree of association. A scatter diagram indicating the nature of association between these two variables is drawn. The Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient (r) is 0.744, which indicates a strong positive relation between these two variables. The pattern of scatter diagram also represents a positive correlation, which means the association between the variables is direct, indicating thereby that if the value of average page view is high then the value of daily time on site also will be high, and low values are associated with low values.Keywords

Presently total number of universities in the country is 907, (UGC (n.d.)) and these universities vary in terms of number of publications they produce. This study aims to identify the leading research institutions in India. To measure the performance of leading institutions multiple indicators have been applied, such as number of publications, total and average citations received, etc. IISc. Bangalore (15,948) produced most number of papers and BARC (32.21) received highest average citations per paper. BARC, CSIR India and University of Delhi had overall good performance in all the categories taken for the measurement.Keywords

Information communication technology (ICT) plays a key role in the transmission of information between each other. Social networking sites are good examples of a network of communication and it is a good social structural way that allows the user to interact and work with other users. WhatsApp and Facebook are two very popular social media that very much help users to interact each other via text, image, audio, video messaging. This paper was based on a survey that measured the usability of Facebook and WhatsApp for service delivery to the library. An online questionnaire was used to collect information from the respondents. The findings indicated that respondents showed a positive attitude towards the services of library through Facebook and WhatsApp.Keywords
