Abstract

The digestive system is one of the most important organs in the human body and is vulnerable to various diseases. Available drugs often have less efficacy or lead to many side effects. Therefore, alternative drugs are needed to treat gastrointestinal complications.The aim of this study was to introduce the most important medicinal plants on gastrointestinal disorders and to report medicinal plants used to treat common gastrointestinal diseases and disorders across the world. These plants play a traditional medical role in the treatment of parasitic diseases, diarrhea, reflux, gastroenteritis, digestive cancer, digestive disorders. Some of the most important medicinal plants in this article were addressed for the effect and mechanism of action. Based on the results obtained from the review of numerous articles, a number of plants have been reported to prevent digestive disorders and gastrointestinal cancers, including Glycyrrhiza glabra, Ribes nigrum ,Phyllanthus niruri , Newtonia hildebrandtii , Lantana camara, Persea , Maytenus , Streblus asper , Cordia myxa , Coriandrum sativum , Cyperus rotuntdus , Azadirachta indica , Aloe vera , Plantago asiatica , Passiflora spp. Pharmacological studies are strongly recommended to investigate the therapeutic effects of herbal drugs so that their clinical effects and the use of their active ingredients are taken into account for the production of natural and useful drugs. The results of phytochemical studies of the herbs indicated that compounds such as kobusone, and isokobusone , rotundone, auxins and phenolic compounds, isoflavene glabrene, glabridin, phytoestrogens, glycosides, flavonoids, and saponins ,and etc are the most important active and active compounds of these plants. In this way, herbs and herbs can produce natural drugs that affect the system and digestive disorders and reduce the pain and suffering of the patients.

Abstract

After diabetes and hypertension, urinary tract and kidney diseases and glomerulonephritis are a major cause of chronic kidney disease in developed countries. The use of medicinal plants can assist in the treatment and prevention of cancers and disorders of the urinary system and the kidneys, and various infections in the body due to the presence of antioxidant compounds, bioactive compounds, phenols, flavonoids, etc.These plants play the role of traditional medicine in the treatment and prevention of kidney diseases, kidney cancer, and other disorders of the urinary system. Some of the most important medicinal plants were addressed in this review for their effectiveness and mechanisms of actions.Based on the results obtained from the review of a number of articles indexed in certain databases such as Institute for Scientific Information, Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar, etc., a number of plants have been reported to be effective in the treatment and prevention of urinary tract disorders and bladder and kidney cancers, including Equisetum arvense, Cornus mas L., Gynostemma pentaphyllum, Lycium barbarum, Camellia sinensis, Panax ginseng, Liriope muscari, Nigella sativa Linn, Abelmoschus manihot, Astragalus membranaceus, Tripterygium wilfordii, Zingiber zerumbet, Pistacia vera, Terminalia chebula Retz, Paeonia lactiflorapall, Cornus officinalis, Senna auriculata, Terminalia, Chebula, Opuntia megacantha, and Punica granatum. Pharmacological studies have addressed the therapeutic effects of medicinal plants, their clinical effects, and the use of their active ingredients for the production of natural, useful drugs. The phytochemical studies on these plants have shown that the most important compounds of these plants include total flavonoids and phenolics, steroids, quercetin, terchebi, luteolin, tannic acid, luteic acid, terflavin B, tannins, etc.Due to the active ingredients and active flavonoids of these plants, they can be used in the production of natural drugs that are effective on urinary tract (kidney and bladder) disorders and cancers, and reduce the pain and suffering of the patients.

Abstract

Different types of pre-anesthetic and anesthetic medications and approaches include local, regional, spinal, epidural, arm, and general anesthesics, which are used to induce anesthesia and relieve pain. In this review, medicinal plants used in traditional medicine for pre-anesthetic purposes are reported. To this end, the search terms medicinal plant, extract, essential oil, traditional medicine, anesthetics, pre-anesthetics and Iran were used to retrieve relevant articles indexed in databases Magiran Scientific Information Database, Google Scholar and Scopus. Relevant articles were collected and irrelevant articles excluded. Based on the results, lavender, lesser periwinkle, hops, rosaries, valerians, cannabis and roses are among the most important native herbs of Iran used for pre-anesthetic purposes. Based on the results, lavender, Vinca minor, hops, rosaries, valerians, cannabis and roses are among the most important native herbs of Iran used for pre-anesthetic purposes.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is one of the most important causes of death in industrialized countries. Hyperlipidemia is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Medicinal plants and their active ingredients have long been addressed for the treatment of lipidemia and associated complications. Recently, the use of medicinal plants has become more prevalent due to the side effects of chemical drugs. Therefore, in this study, the most important effective medicinal herbs on hyperlipidemia were reviewed. Based on the results, medicinal plants such as Medicago sativa, Trigonella foenum graecum L., Cynara scolymus, Silybum marianum L., Glycine max L., Allium sativum L., Rheum ribes L. Basil, Crocus sativus Citrus medica, Lavandula stoechas, Melissa officinalis, Black cardamom, Cinnamomum cassia, Phyllanthus emblica, Punica granatum L and Elettaria cardamomum are among the most important plants that are used for hyperlipidemia. The most important active ingredients of the plants include beta-carotene, L-cavanine, diosgenin, yamogenin, trigonelline, sarsapogenin, fenugreekine, smilagenin, cinnarine and luteolin, silymarin, purerine, comstrole and genistein, allicin, oxalic acid, cycic acid, beta-glucogaline and renin. Bioactive compounds such as Beta-Carotene and L-Cavanine، Diosgenin, Yamogenin, Trigonelline, Sarsapogenin, Fenugreekine, Smilagenin، Cinnarine and Luteolin, sylimarin, Pourin, Comstrole and Genistein, Allicin, Oxalic Acid, Cinic Acid, Beta Glucogaline and Renin are among the most important compounds of these herbs. In the case of conduction of pharmacological studies on the active ingredients of the medicinal plants that are effective on hyperlipidemia and confirmation of their efficacy, they can be used as hypolipidemic drugs.
