Objective: Present study reports ethnomedicinal uses of Phyllanthus fraternus as collected from Aligarh, Badaun, Bulandshahar, Farrukhabad and Hatharas districts of Western Uttar Pradesh. Materials and methods: Data were gathered by interviewing local medicine men in rural areas of the districts surveyed. Results and discussion: A total of twenty five claims are recorded. A new term "Ethnophytomorphopharmacology" to describe the ethnomedicinal uses of different morphological plant parts is coined and introduced.
