Background/Objectives: Congestion in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) was happen due to buffer overflow, channel competition and packet collisions, and has a direct impact on the efficiency and quality of service in WSNs. Methods/Statistical Analysis: In this paper, a routing protocol to congestion control in wireless sensor networks is proposed. Fuzzy Interface System (FIS) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) are used, both of them for creating a path. At first FIS suggest some paths according to networks parameters and then GA select trust path instead of shortest path. Findings: Results extract according to three different conditions like, variable packet rates, constant and variable node density. In variable packet rates energy consumption increased exponentially with packet rate but sink throughput is constant (90%) and better than other methods. In the other hand, energy consumption and sink throughput in constant and variable node density is better than GACCTR methods. Application/Improvements: Results proved that proposed method can improved congestion controls in WSNs and increased sink throughput and energy consumption reduced better than other methods.
