The aged seeds of Bamboo (Dendrocalamus hamiltonii L Munro) were treated with Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA) and GibbereIlins (GA3), individually and in combination of various concentrations for 2 hours with an aim to stimulate germination and seedling growth. The germination percent, emergence period and subsequent seedling growth as ischolar_main and shoot length, internode length and number of leaves was improved significantly over the control by various pre-treatments. The combination of both hormones proved to be more effective than their individual application.
