In nuclear power plants corrosion and activation of structural material and its re-deposition on out-ofcore surfaces is of significance as far as structural integrity and radiation exposure to the employees are concerned. Recently, Indian Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors have faced a typical problem of activation of antimony (Sb) from primary heat transport pump seals containing ∼10% Sb. This Sb cannot be removed easily and its deposition mechanism is yet to be clearly understood. This article deals with studies related to the understanding of this process and a solution for the removal of Sb.Keywords

Belated copulation has been observed as one of the major factors that influence the fecundity and progeny sex ratio in parasitic wasps. A young (0-12h old) female mated with 0-12h old male, Binodoxys indicus produces 131.6±8.08 progeny within 4 days of life. However, older female mated with older male (both 96-108 h old) yields only 89.0±12.54 progeny. The progeny sex ratio (proportion of males) is female-biased (0.36±.03) when the parents were younger (0-12h old) but is male·biased (0.59±0.06) when the parents were older (96-108h old). Therefore, it implies that most of the daughters are produced during earlier phase of reproduction. The analysis of the data shows that only maternal age at copulation influences the total births significantly while both maternal as well as paternal age during copulation influence the progeny sex ratio. The implication of these results is discussed with reference to the maximisation of yield of total births as well as the female births for mass propagation and field release of the parasitoids in biocontrol programmes. Keywords

A giant vesical calculus more than 100 gram is rare entity. Fewer than 30 cases are reported in English literature of vesical calculus more than 100 gm. Largest vesical calculus was of weight 6294 gm by Arthure et al. Available treatment options for vesical calculi include open surgical removal, extracorporeal fragmentation and endoscopic crushing followed by extraction of pieces. Recently, endosurgical mechanical cystolithotripsy followed by percutaneous extraction has been evolved for small or moderate-sized calculi. Our case report demonstrated vesical calculus of 400gms which is a rare finding in today urologic practice. Keywords

A simple, economic and reproducible spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of HCl in bulk and in its pharmaceutical formulations. The spectrophotometric method was carried out at maximum absorbance of 270.0 nm for Atomoxetine HCl using double distilled water (DDW) as a solvent. The linearity over the concentration range of Atomoxetine HCl was found to be 20-180 μg/ml with correlation coefficient 0.9997. The detection limit and quantitation limit were found to be 4.04 μg/ml and 12.25 μg/ml, respectively. Results of analysis were validated statistically and by recovery studies. Commercial capsule formulations were successfully analyzed using the developed method. Keywords

Mahua stamen remover was evaluated for its performance. It was tested at four moisture levels (11.9, 13.17, 15.64 and 17.66 % d.b.) and three feed rates (15, 21, 27 kg/h). The stamen removal efficiency and whole flower recovery were determined to optimize feed rate and moisture content of mahua flower for better performance of the machine. The present study revealed that the optimum flower moisture content and feed rate were found to be 13.17 per cent and 15 kg/h, respectively with stamen removal efficiency of 88.23 per cent and whole flower recovery of 81.2 per cent. Keywords

Research methodology is the route through which researchers are required to conduct their research. It shows the path through which these researchers formulate their problem and purpose and present their results from the data obtained during the study period. This research design and methodology shows how the research results will be achieved in the end, along with fulfilling the purpose of the study. The purpose of the research method is to satisfy the research plan and the goal prepared by the researcher. Scientific research methods help us collect samples, data and find a solution to a problem. Keywords

An impact factor is a measure of citations to articles published in a journal. A citation is a reference to a specific work cited in another work. The work is a scholarly work such as one in a peer reviewed journal. To find out how much impact of a particular article or author has had by showing that other authors cited work within their own papers. An abstracting and indexing service is an important part of the publishing process. It indexes content at the article level by specifying subject headings at each level and then making them searchable in the product’s database. These services also list other bibliographic elements of journal articles, including author, title and date of publication etc. Keywords
