Background: Sensory deprivation is one of the common complications of coma patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). The purpose of this study was to prospectively examine the effects of an sensory stimulation on recovery in unconscious patients with traumatic brain injury.
Methods: The research approach is evaluative approach; research design implemented is Quasi experimental design with pre test -post test control group design. The sample consisted of 40 traumatic brain injury patients. Samples include both male and female, 20 each in experimental and 20 in control group. The intervention was given for 40 min, once a day for 7 consecutive days for the experimental group only. The Post test was conducted on the 8th day by using same Glasgow coma scale in experimental group as well as in control group.
Finding: In experimental group the pre test mean level of consciousness for eye opening response score is 3.20%, verbal response score is 3.50%, motor response score is 3.80%. The combine mean level of consciousness is 10.50%. In experimental group the post test mean level of consciousness for eye opening response score is 3.75%, verbal response score is 4.35%, motor response score is 4.90%. The combine mean level of consciousness is 13.0%. In control group the pre test mean level of consciousness for eye opening response score is 3.10%, verbal response was 2.90%, motor response is 2.95%. The combine mean level of consciousness is 8.95%. In control group the post test mean level of consciousness for eye opening is 3.15%, verbal response is 3.05%, motor response is 3.0%. The combine mean level of consciousness is 9.20%. The combined pre-test post test mean consciousness score of experimental group is 10.50% and 13.0% with enhancement of 2.50% with paired 't' value of 9.32 which is significant at 0.05 level. The combined pre-test post test mean consciousness score of control group is 8.95% and 9.20% with enhancement of 0.25% with paired 't' value of 1.86 which is not significant at 0.05 level. The findings shows sensory stimulation has a significant effect in improving the level of consciousness of experimental group than control group. So the researcher concluded that sensory stimulation has played a significant role in improving the level of consciousness of traumatic brain injury patients with GCS 7 - 10. Conclusion: These findings imply that providing sensory stimulation for traumatic brain injury patients will improve their level of consciousness.

Background: Cancer diagnosis is a significant source of psychological stress, followed by an extended period of Stressful cancer treatment modalities. Not surprisingly, patients with a diagnosis of cancer report high psychological and emotional stress
Objectives: To assess the level of stress among women with selected type of cancer.
Design: A cross - sectional descriptive design was adopted for the study. Setting: Erode Cancer Centre, Erode Participants: 50 women fulfilling the inclusion criteria were selected by purposive sampling technique.
Methods: All participants were interviewed a questionnaire to complete; questions were related to Baseline Proforma of women and Rating scale on The Impact of Event Scale (IES) and participants were given 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
Results: The findings revealed that the stress among women with breast cancer shows that, majority (70%) of the samples had severe stress, and 30% of them had moderate stress, whereas women with cervical cancer 10 % were had mild stress, 30 % were had moderate stress and 60 % were had severe stress. It shows that breast cancer patients had more stress compared to cervical cancer patients. There was a significant association between the stress scores and variables like age and stages of cancer.
Conclusion: Stress is more among cancer patients. Maximum patient do not seek medical advice and adopt self-treat for themselves.

This paper surveys some recent trends in mathematics education, by examining some aspects of evolution of the study of the teaching and learning of algebra. The field of research in mathematics is now growing fast and too large to make strong claims about trends and findings. Algebra education is a good choice because it has been particularly active field more importantly; algebra education is a good choice because many of the major concerns of mathematics education as a whole also impact on algebra education. This paper begins with a short overview placing mathematics education as a discipline within other disciplines, moves on to consider the major recent influences on algebra education and how mathematical educators analyze problems by looking at several instances of the growth of algebraic thinking.Keywords

Hospital management is the complex environment, in which the multi team of clinicians (nurses, therapists and physicians) continually observed and evaluates patient information. In which, drug delivery is a vital component of patient care. To monitor the pulse rate, body temperature, flow of glucose infusion rate of patients in hospitals we need physicians/nurses. The incorrect infusion of glucose rate may even result in heart arrest. In India, these systems are not automated due to complexity and excessive cost for implementation of the system. This is based up on the communication devices like Mobile phones and sensor networks for the real time analysis of patient health The impact of our solution is to provide consistent flow of glucose infusion rate by automation through the measurement of pulse rate, body temperature of the patients. This product prevents the patients from adverse effect and saves the human life.

The seagrass meadows of Sethukarai coast are unique in nature, housing high faunal diversity compared to other coastal areas. A rare live specimen of bandtail scorpionfish Scorpaenopsis neglecta was found near a burrow dug by an alpheid shrimp. Taxonomy, mor-phometric and meristic characters, adaptive, beha-vioural and colour-switching physiological camouflage trait of the S. neglecta are elaborated in this commu-nication. Visual in situ documentation of feeding ha-bits of scorpaenids and their preying behaviour, especially that of lionfish Pterois volitans preying on goby fish is presented. Mutualism exhibited by goby fish Amblyeleotris gymnocephala with the alpheid shrimp Alpheus rapax and the importance of habitat protection from anthropogenic activities are also dis-cussed.Keywords
