Cooperative banking is retail and commercial banking organized on a cooperative basis. Today the cooperative banks are playing the vital role to render the service to common customers A cooperative is a business organization owned and operated by a group of individuals for their mutual benefit. A cooperative is defined by the International Cooperative Alliance's Statement on the Cooperative Identity as "an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprise". A cooperative may also be defined as a business owned and controlled equally by the people who use its services or by the people who work there. Cooperative banking institutions take deposits and lend money in most parts of the world. Cooperative banking includes retail banking carried out by credit unions, banks, building and cooperatives, as well as commercial banking services provided by mutual organizations to cooperative businesses. CRM is developing and implementing business strategies and supporting technologies that close the gaps between banking organizations current and potential performance in customer acquisition, growth and retention. CRM also help to create new customers, maintain existing customers. Keywords

The effect of testosterone on glycoprotein synthesis in salivary glands has been worked out. When salivary gland sections were stained for Periodicacid (PAS) and Alcian blue (AB) techniques, it was observed that glycoproteins were mainly located in the secretory acini of salivary glands. The staining intensity was reduced in castrated mice and increased after the injection of testosterone (4mg/250g body wt.). Soluble glycoproteins from salivary glands were isolated from defatted powder of the glands wi1;h 1 M CaClj. In juveniles, concentrations of hexoses and sialic acid were low, increased in juvenile adults and were maximum in adults. In adult castrated mice, these concentrations decreased and upon testosterone propionate administration, they increased. Soluble glycoproteins were separated on 5% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. With AB pH 2.5 and AB pH 1 there were 2 bands for the submandibular gland for glycoproteins and 8 and 9 bands for AB pH2.5 and pH 1.0, respectively. In both the glands some bands completely disappeared and some of them were reduced in their intensity in castrated mice and intensity was regained after the injection of testosterone. The results suggest that testosterone plays an important role in the synthesis of glycoproteins in acinar cells of salivary glands. Keywords

At birth, the human body enters the world quite helpless and remains totally dependent for longer periods than any other mammalian species. Therefore the human infant is extraordinarily vulnerable to the enviroment after birth in most of the countries of the world. Developing babies are usually breast fed for at least the first three or four months of life. Since maternal nutrition during pregnancy has been shown to depress lactation in man, the infants born with potentially low nutrient stores may be at even greater risk if nursed by a mother of questionable nutritional status.- Protein-Calorie Malnutrition : Brain Development, Intelligence and Behaviour I.
