The paper deals with the various issues related to the potential impacts of tourism on the environment. The knowledge gaps in the area have heen identified and research work carried out have been discussed. Different types of the possible environmental impacts and existing models for the assessment of environmental impacts of the tourism activities have been analysed and the research issues have been captured. The Prosopis cineraria ( L) Druce is an important tree (Khejri - a local name in Rajasthan)for the Thar Desert wi th hard climatic adaptation and one of the lifeline in desert habitat as mentioned in ancient literature. This is a species representing all five F viz., Forest, Fiber, Fuel, Fodder and Food. This tree is also mythological important in local communities. High value of this species recognized as a State symbol (state tree of Rajasthan). Prosopis cineraria (L.) Druce is a tree endemic to hot deserts of India, belonging to the family Leguminosae. Pods locally called "Sangri" are considered as dry fruit of desert and are one of the main ingredients of quintessential Rajasthani dish - The Panchkuta. In the present article, we have attempted to review different characteristics of the pods, to understand its health benefits. Various phytoconstituents like tannins ( gallic acid), steroids (stigmasterol, campesterol, sitosterol, etc.), Flavone derivatives (prosogerin A, B, C, D, and E), alkaloids (spicigerine, prosophylline), etc. have been isolated from the sangri pods .As this plant is found in water stress (or defi cient area) so antioxidant potential of pods has also been discussed. Prosopis cineraria (L) Druce is one of the highly valued plant in the Indigenous System of Medicine. P. cineraria pods provide protein, iron, vitamins A and C and other micro minerals Unripe pods are also nutritious and are used to prepare curries and pickles. Its bark is said to be a potent drug for several ailments such as leprosy, dysentery, bronchitis, asthma, leucoderma, piles, muscular tremors, asthma, rheumatism and inflammations. Pharmacological activities like analgesic, antipyretic, antihyperglycemic, antioxidant, antihypercholesterolemic, antitumor, nootropic anthelmintic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti viral and anticancer activities have been reported from different plant extracts. In view of its medicinal importance, the present review is focused to delineate its chemical constitution and therapeutic potentiality, precisely.Keywords

Over the years, a lot of research has been done on the concept of Semantic Web, which is focused on making data machine understandable while neglecting personal information and human relationships. The Semantic vision of the Web, which is a more conscious effort on behalf of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to make the Web friendly to machines as much as it is friendly to human. This paper is consisting of two set of studies, my primary study is concern with Semantic Web Technology to aggregate the electronic data sets that collects about the social networks and in my secondary study is all about role of social networks within the architecture of semantic web. This paper correlates these two studies to bring more effective modern social networking websites with the help of semantic web tools and technologies.Keywords

Continuous rise in population levels in the developing world and servicing this need for housing on a large scale should be carried out in a sustainable manner. This has led to green building rating agencies to publish separate rating systems, particularly for the residential and housing sector. This review study aims at comparing two such green building rating systems of the housing sector. CASBEE for homes (Detached Houses) is chosen, as Japan being a developed island nation although having its own problems with regards to lack of housing space for its growing population and constant tectonic activities has come up with unique solutions to these problems that can be adopted in countries with similar issues. IGBC Green Homes being a vastly adopted rating system of the housing sector is compared to CASBEE to have an idea about the shortcomings of each rating system. The green building industry in both countries and the history of sustainable architecture is compared to give a look into the reasons behind adopting green building rating systems. The supporting regulatory framework of both countries along with the method of implementation of the systems is compared. Finally the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of each rating system are reviewed. This study provides some insight into the gaps present in both systems, and can be used while developing an add-on to the rating systems to ensure that all aspects of sustainability are covered while planning for the new development.Keywords
