FACTS devices are used in power systems to increase the loadability of the system or to optimize other objective, like to reduce the power loss in the system. When only a single objective is considered in the introduction of the FACTS device, other end results of the system are adversely affected leading to increase in the total cost of the system. This paper proposes a method for considering multiple objectives and to arrive at a solution optimal for all considered objectives. The method proposed in this paper uses application of Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm in Weighted Additive Fuzzy Goal Programming (WAFGP) method. Use of STATCOM in Indian utility Neyveli Thermal Power Station (NTPS) 23 bus system is used for testing and validating the proposed method.Keywords

In Cloud Computing Environment a Blood Donor Contact Manager Web Services (SaaS) allows you to maintain a list of contacts and their blood groups. There are numbers of online web based blood bank management system exists for communicating between department of blood centers and hospitals, to satisfy blood necessity, to buy, sale and stock the blood, to give information about this blood. Manual systems as compared to Computer Based Information Systems are time consuming, laborious, and costly. This project introduces the, BCloud Blood Donor Contact Manager Web Services allows you to maintain a free, easy-to- organize database of contacts and their blood groups. With this convenient-and potentially lifesaving--app, you can quickly check your Android device for someone with a certain blood type and contact them immediately. When someone's in need of a blood transfusion, time and accurate information are absolutely crucial. Blood Donor Contact Manager Web Services (SaaS) keeps all the basic information you need in one place, where you can easily look up a certain blood type and a donor's contact information. In case of a blood requirement, you can quickly check for contacts matching a particular blood group and reach out to them via Call/SMS through the Blood donor App. Blood Donor App provides list of donors in your city/area. Use this app in case of emergency. The application is suited for use by both personal users and Hospitals/Blood Donor groups that wish to maintain a list of blood donors. If there's an emergency and you see potential blood donors on your list, you can contact them quickly via text message or phone call.Keywords

Population growth has become one of the most serious development problems in world ecology. It appears to have an independent momentum that does not respond spontaneously and automatically to other developmental variables. Better nutrition could be used as a means of arresting the population growth. Better infant nutrition would kindle the desire of individuals to control the number of their offsprings but such a trend is impossible in the presence of high infant and maternal mortality. There is little knowledge about the effects of better nutrition on the reproductive capacity, foetal wastage and the ability of the mother to breast feed her baby successfully. Therefore this study was undertaken to assess the impact of the nutritional status of expectant mothers on the health status of the infants and their lactation.- Power Quality Improvement in a 3ø Distribution System Using Matrix Converter as IUPQC

Objectives: This paper deals with the power system problems like sag, swell and also improve power quality of the three phase system. Methods: Previously many compensating devices were used to improve the power quality of the system. Here the detailed analysis of matrix converter can be used to improve the power quality in the three phase system. Findings: The matrix converter is introduced as the compensating device. The major advantage of matrix converter is the elimination of dc link capacitor. These DC-link Capacitors results in an inefficient compensation of the system. By implementing the new strategy of using matrix converter as IUPQC the power quality is improved efficiently than the conventional methods. Applications: This system is designed for the power quality improvement in the three phase system.Keywords

H.264 is an Advanced Video Coding standard that gives better coding efficiency than the previous standards. In H.264, video compression is carried out in many ways such as Interframe prediction and Intraframe prediction. Intraframe prediction is carried out by the process of motion estimation by calculating motion vectors. Intraframe prediction reduces spatial redundancy (ie) similarity between pixels and Interframe prediction reduces the temporal redundancy (ie) change in video content from one frame to the next frame. In this paper we compare these two compression schemes of H.264 in terms of compression ratio, PSNR and memory bandwidth. Finally we conclude that intra prediction method provides better video quality with average compression ratio 1.034 and the percentage of memory saving is 96.26% but the average PSNR value is less compared to motion estimation.Keywords

Secure communication is the one of the main issue we are facing in this modern technology. Fractional order chaotic system has implemented for secure communication, however switching fractional order chaotic system has been not implemented for image encryption yet. So in this project we implemented image encryption by using new fractional chaotic system. It consists of fractional order chen system and other two fractional chaotic system. So for secure communication image has been encrypted using exclusive or Xor algorithm in this project. Secret key will be generated in different manner for each encryption randomly. This encryption technique increase the randomness and improve the speed of encryption.
