An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of GA3 and foliar nutrients along with bio-fertilizers on flower quality, vase life and sucker production of Anthurium cv. TROPICAL RED. Results showed that NPK @ 30:10:10 at 0.2 per cent foliar spray and GA3 at 100 ppm along with bio-fertilizers (Azospirillum, Phospho-bacteria and VAM each at 2 g per plant) significantly influenced the flower quality, vase life and sucker production of AnthuriumKeywords

The growing popularity of Internet banking has also brought increasing anxiety over whether something as private and personal as a bank account can be fully protected in the relatively unregulated and un policed world of the internet.
A market survey was carried out in specific areas of Bangalore city.
The primary data was collected with the help of a structured questionnaire administrated among 50 respondents from Bangalore city. The statistical tools applied on the data were, Chi-square and Factor analysis to identify the important factors affecting on-line banking.
The findings were: 'Convenience' and 'saving time' were the major factor to adopt on-line banking. 'Security' and 'privacy' were two major concerns of customers towards not adopting on-line banking services on a regular basis. Banks have to work out a model of safety and security of the customers' information and the market penetration in the days to come.

Background/Objectives: To extract and interpret public opinion from informal description of text in social media websites. Methods: The informal descriptions containing opinions are Tokenized, Parts of Speech Tagging, Word-sense Disambiguation and Text Transformation/Attribute Generation are employed. Sample data pertaining to performance rating of cricket players was collected from twitter, cricinfo and cricbuzz. The reviews were rated against subjective evaluation criteria, the scale ranging from poor, moderate, good, excellent and the linguistic variables were converted into numerical values using fuzzy since the expressed opinions may be easy to understand. Findings: Opinions enhance any decision making process, so the influence of opinions from sample data pertaining to performance rating of cricket players are classified as poor, moderate, good and excellent. Application/Improvements: Using the proposed approach a generic prototype can be built that can be used to extract opinions and interpret. Keywords

A study was conducted to evaluate the performance of ten chrysanthemum cultivars for better post harvest quality under open field condition at University of Agricultural Sceinces, Bangalore. Flowers were harvested at fully open stage or nearly so. The results showed that the maximum stalk girth (0.32 cm) was recorded in Cv. Cassa and the maximum flower diameter (8.14 cm) was recorded in cv. Ravikiran, Cultivar Cassa recorded the maximum flower weight (3.59 g). Maximum number of ray florets were recorded by cv. Nilima (253.2). The maximum length of ray florets were recorded in cv. Ravikiran (3.96 cm). Maximum fresh weight, final weight and water loss (88.33, 40.63 and 47.67g respectively) from the spray type flowers were recorded in cv. Arka Swarna. Longer vase life of 16 days was also recorded in cv. Arka Swarna. Based on the performance studies it was observed that Arka Swarna, Ravikiran, Red gold, Nilima and Arka Ravi performed better post harvest quality and may be selected for cut flower production. Keywords
