This paper focuses on the socio-economic and living conditions of the Bidi Rolling women of Tili village in district Sagar. This study is mere observation in a health camp during Field Exposure Visit for a task from Saksham Project, GFATM 7, counseling component, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai .This includes information on the basis of interviews and case studies of women participated in the camp. Population of the village is below poverty line and 99% of the women population is working as a Bidi labour including young girls. Today, no doubt, the condition of the Bidi Rolling women is full of risk and worry. Though they are earning their livelihood by this profession, yet are fail to fulfill their needs. They are exploited by the contractors .As a result, they remain deprived and marginalized and are forced to become sex workers. They are involved in this profession from generation to generation but they are quite far from a social status. These women are mostly illiterate and looked down upon in the society. These women are victims of domestic violence and health problems. They are suffering from respiratory problems and STD's. Although the government has made some effort to improve the conditions by introducing legislation it is not strictly enforced. The key to improving these conditions lies in educating and training the women.

Niosomes have shown promise as cheap and chemically stable drug delivery systems. Niosomes have been prepared with different molar rati os of surfactant and cholesterol and their morphological properties have been determine d by scanning electron microscopy. Different batches of Fluconazole niosomal preparations were prepared by changing the surfactant concentration but keeping the cholesterol concentration constant. The surfactant used was Span 60 and the five ba tches of niosomal preparations prepared were in the ratios 1:1:1, 1.5:1:1, 2:1:1, 2.5:1:1 and 3:1:1 (surfactant: cholesterol: drug). Furthermore, the release p rofile, entrapment efficiency, size distribution and stability of these niosomes under various temperatures were studied.Keywords

This paper aims at to study the impact of self-talk, and different traits of personality on empathy. Self-talk is a way of describing all the things we say to ourselves all day long as we confront obstacles, make decisions, and resolve problems. Self-talk of a person determines his self-esteem in a positive or negative way which in turn effects his behaviour. A trait is a temporally stable, cross-situational individual difference. According to Stein and Brook (2000), empathy is the ability to be aware of, to understand and to appreciate the feelings and thoughts of others and to be sensitive to what, how and why people feel and think the way that they do. To measure self-talk, Self-Talk Inventory, for the traits of personality, Big-five Personality test, and for empathy, Multidimensional Emotional Empathy Scale were used. This study was conducted on the students of post graduate classes of different faculties of Dr. H.S. Gour University. Multiple regression was done by using SPSS 17. In the correlation matrix positive self-talk, neuroticism and agreeableness are significantly correlated with empathy. All the predictor variables together are responsible for the 8.8% of variance in empathy. Negative self-talk, positive self-talk conscientiousness, and agreeableness are the strongest predictors among all.Keywords

This study focuses on the stress management during pregnancy. Stress is the way your body reacts to something that IS out of the ordinaiy, dangerous, unknown or disturbing. When under stress, your body makes physical and chemical changes to try to protect it. Almost anything can cause stress. Everyone responds to stressful situations in their own way. An extremely stressful situation for one person may not be at all stressful to another Due to different reactions to stress, it is difficult to study how stress may affect pregnancy. In this study five pregnant women were regularly observed for three months. The stress causing situations were different m all the five cases as they were from different backgrounds (culturally, financially, socially, etc.). Hypertension, Convulsions, Physical Weakness, Chest pain and Continuous abdominal pain were observed m the subjects. Different methods were adopted to manage the stress in the above cases which showed siginficant positive results.Keywords

Aim: To compare the efficacy and side effects of paracetamol and tramadol infusion for postoperative analgesia after elective hysterectomy.
Materials and Methods: The present prospective study was conducted on 50 patients who underwent elective hysterectomy in a tertiary care hospital. The patients were divided into two groups. Group A received paracetamol (PCM) infusion, while group B received tramadol infusion. The analgesic efficacy of both the drugs was assessed by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) at 15, 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours. The side effects were noted and compared. The records of all the parameters were maintained as per patient proforma.
Results: Both the groups were comparable with respect to demographic profile, duration and route of surgery. The pvalues for the VAS score at 15 min, 30 min, 1 hr, 6 hrs and 8 hrs were insignificant in both the groups. Although pain relief at two and four hours was better in patients of hysterectomy who received tramadol as compared to the patients who received paracetamol, additional analgesia was not required in most of the patients. The number of patients who experienced nauseavomiting (32%), sedation (20%) and headache (12%) were more in the tramadol group.
Conclusion: The present study demonstrates that PCM and tramadol has comparable analgesic effect. At the same time PCM has emerged as a safer analgesic in comparison to tramadol because of its fewer side effects.
