Domestic violence that is any act of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse, or the threat of such abuse, inflicted against a woman by a person intimately connected to her through marriage, family relation, or acquaintanceship is universal and has its ischolar_main in the socio-cultural set up of the society. Domestic violence can be Psychological Abuse, Social Abuse, Financial Abuse, Physical Assault and/or Sexual Assault. In developing cities the rates of domestic violence against women are high. Domestic violence has attracted the attention of the general public and the judiciary in the city due to series of unpleasant incidents the loss of life and threat to life in several parts of the city. There were several cases of women who were ill treated, tortured and even murdered for not meeting the demands of the so called head of the family. The ultimate solution lies in awareness building geared through determined community action. In this study, efforts have been made to find out the prevalent forms of domestic violence, the factors leading to it, economic status of the family, the awareness of Domestic Violence Act' 2005, the utilization of the Act and also impact of the Act. The importance of notice board in every academic is well known to us. Wireless multipoint Digi board is an electronic wireless notice board that can be used to display various information in public places and institutions. The notice board we have proposed in this module works on a raspberian platform which is powered by ARM1176JZF-S processor which acts as the heart of the system. The Raspberry Pi of model B is employed for this purpose. Transfer of information is employed by using Wi-Fi technology. The information created in the database of the college website are transferred to the main server to be displayed in the notice board. Information can also be given directly from the main server to the notice board. The server which is password protected transfers the message through Wi-Fi module to the Raspberry Pi, which displays the message in the LCD display attached to it. The server is provided with an EEPROM to store the messages which can be referred later when needed. The messages are displayed in a scrolling fashion which prevents overlapping of new message with the previous message. Herein we have proposed to transform our college notice board which is being manually operated into digitalized wireless notice board. Keywords

In this paper, we address the problem of effective cache placement in multi-hop wireless networks. We consider a network comprising a server with an interface to the wired network, and other nodes requiring access to the information stored at the server. In order to reduce access latency in such a communication environment, an effective strategy is caching the server information at some of the nodes distributed across the network. Caching, however, can imply a considerable overhead cost; for instance, disseminating information incurs additional energy as well as bandwidth burden. Since wireless systems are plagued by scarcity of available energy and bandwidth, we need to design caching strategies that optimally trade-off between overhead cost and access latency. We pose our problem as an integer linear program. We devise a polynomial time algorithm which provides a sub optimal solution. The proposed algorithm applies to any arbitrary network topology and can be implemented in a distributed and asynchronous manner. Keywords

Fuzzy logic represents a good mathematical framework to deal with uncertainty of information. Fuzzy image processing is the collection of all approaches that understand, represent and process the images, their segments and features as fuzzy sets. The representation and processing depend on the selected fuzzy technique and on the problem to be solved. This research problem deals with Fuzzy inference system (FIS) which represents greater robustness to contrast and lighting variations. Further tuning of the weights associated to the fuzzy inference rules is still necessary to reduce even more inclusion in the output image of pixels not belonging to edges.

Digital image processing is a subset of the electronic domain wherein the image is converted to an array of small integers, called pixels, representing a physical quantity such as scene radiance, stored in a digital memory, and processed by computer or other digital hardware. Edges characterize boundaries and Edge detection is one of the most difficult tasks in image processing hence it is a problem of fundamental importance in image processing. Edges in images are areas with strong intensity contrasts and a jump in intensity from one pixel to the next can create major variation in the picture quality. Edge detection of an image significantly reduces the amount of data and filters out useless information, while preserving the important structural properties in an image.Fuzzy logic represents a good mathematical framework to deal with uncertainty of information. STRUCTURED data in Web pages usually contain important information. Such data are often retrieved from underlying databases and displayed in Web pages using fixed templates. In this paper, we call these structured data objects data records. There are two main approaches to data extraction, wrapper induction and automatic extraction. In wrapper induction, a set of data extraction rules are learnt from a set of manually labeled pages. However, manual labeling is labor intensive and time consuming. For different sites or even pages in the same site, manual labeling needs to be repeated because different sites may follow different templates. Keywords

The goal of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) and Ontologies are modeling concepts with varying needs. An ontology is an explicit formal conceptualization of some domain of interest. Ontologies are widely used in various fields such as E-commerce, Semantic Web and knowledge management. FCA is a method of deriving a formal ontology or a concept hierarchy from a group of objects with their properties. FCA facilities an environment to make the data simpler by analyzing, structuring and visualizing. This paper presents a survey of Ontology construction and merging using FCA.Keywords

The area of microstrip antennas has seen some inventive work in recent years and is one of the most dynamic fields of antenna theory. The ever increasing need for mobile communication and the emergence of newer technologies require an efficient design of antenna of smaller size for wider frequency range applications such as Wi-Max. The main aim of this paper is increase the impedance bandwidth of the microstrip patch antenna. A low profile wideband unequal E-shaped microstrip patch antenna for Wi-Max application is proposed in this paper .This proposed antenna is made by using the microstrip feeding method. Its bandwidth is further increased by introducing composite effect of stacking of patches with partial grounding. The antenna is designed and simulated by three-dimensional electromagnetic field software HFSS'12.The properties of the antenna such as bandwidth, S parameter, VSWR have been investigated. Keywords

In this study, decolorization of three different reactive dyes reactive red 120, reactive black 5 and direct red 81 by two fungal isolates such as Penicillium chrysosporium and Penicillium simplicissimum were carried out by using Bushnell and Haas broth containing 500 mg/l concentration. The effect of physiochemical conditions (Temperature, pH, carbon and nitrogen source, shacking vs static) on the decolorization potential of Penicillium chrysosporium and Penicillium simplicissimum were investigated. Among these two Penicillum species, Penicillium chrysosporium shows maximum % of dye decolorization efficiency then Penicillium simplicissimum. Penicillium simplicissimum decolorize maximally (92% of reactive black 5 at 30ᵒC) similarly, Penicillium chrysosporium (88% of Reactive black 5 and direct red 81 at 30ᵒC). The effect of pH was also tested and found that highest % of decolorization was observed Penicillium simplicissimum (92% of reactive black 5) and Penicillium chrysosporium (87% of Reactive black 5 and direct red 81) by at pH 6. Effect of C:N ratio, highest % of decolorization was observed Penicillium simplicissimum (76% of reactive black 5) and Penicillium chrysosporium (74% of Reactive black 5) at C:N ratio of 1:2. In case of static and shaking condition, shaking condition shows maximum % of dye decolorizing efficiency. For Penicillium chrysosporium (73-88%) and Penicillium simplicissimum (64-91%). This study confirmed the potential of dye decolorizing efficiency of Penicillium chrysosporium and Penicillium simplicissimum and scope for further analysis of performance of treatment of textile effluent. Keywords
