Renuka lake, named after the Goddess Renuka ji, the mother of Lord Parashuram, is situated near Dadahu in Sirmour District of Himachal Pradesh. Since years, it has been receiving silt and debris from 22 nallas, which are all around the catchment of the lake, which is causing ecological deterioration, habitat degradation and eutrification, etc. The first author (LM) prepared an action plan during 1999-2000 for the Eco-restoration of the lake. A major thrust was given to check silt and debris going into lake along with water by carrying out Soil conservation and Bio-engineering works, construction of toe wall and filtration tank around the lake and chennalization of water to ensure that only clean water would enter the lake. Visual observations suggest that the rate of siltation has decreased and quality of water has improved as the migratory birds are visiting this lake since 1999-2000. The maximum number of birds i.e. 542 of 13 different species was recorded during 2003-2004. This is one of the indicatol's to show that habitat of this lake has improved.- Scientometric Dimensions of Fuel Cell Research as Reflected in Inis Database

This paper highlights quantitatively the growth and development of world literature on Fuel Cell publication output as per INIS (1970-2008) database. During 1970-2008 a total of 3435 publications were published by the scientists in the field ‘Fuel Cell’. The average number of publications published per year was 88.07. The highest numbers of publications 452 were published in 2004. The spurt in the literature output was reported during 1992–2008.There were 86 countries involved in research in this field. USA is the top producing country with 509 publications (17.56%) followed by Japan with 357 publications (12.31%). Authorship and collaboration trend was towards multi-authored publications. Intensive collaboration was found during 1994–2008. There were 321 international collaborative publications. Bilateral collaboration accounted for 89.72 percent of total collaborative publications. Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, Dalian (China) topped the list with 80 publications. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (India) was the most productive Indian institution with 37 papers. Journals were the most preferred document type preferred by the scientists. The most preferred journals by the scientists were: Electrochimica Acta with 343 publications and Energy Conversion and Management with 54 publications. English was the most predominant language used by the scientists for communication. The high frequency keywords were: Fuel Cells (1162), Hydrogen (404), proton exchange membrane fuel cells (347), electrolytes (295).Keywords
