Abstract

The anthelmintic activity of ethanol and aqueous extract of Abies pindrow was studied against earthworm Eisenia foetida (redworm). The ethanolic and aqueous extract was prepared by hot and cold respectively. Albendazole was used as the standard drug. The anthelmintic activity was carried out to study the effect of plant extract on adult earthworm Eisenia foetida (redworm), and noted down the paralysis time (Vermifuse), and death time (Vermicidal). It was found that both ethanolic and aqueous extract of bark of Abies pindrow found to have significant action against adult earthworm Eisenia foetida (redworm) at the dose of 25 mg/ml or more; which may be due to the presence of glycosides, carbohydrates, tannins and saponins in the extract. Thus it can be concluded that the bark of Abies pindrow can be used as anthelmintic agent.

Abstract

Objective: Optical fibers are the fastest way to transmit the data or information from one place to another without any loss of data. Optical fibers are evolving since their invention, and hence number of researchers is currently working on its evolution Findings: This paper proposed a new approach in Optical Time Division Multiplexing (OTDM) at 240Gbps by incorporating using three different approaches. Different approaches consisting of transmission employing Return- Zero (RZ) transmitter for all time delayed signals, Non Return-Zero (NRZ) for signal and finally hybrid configuration Return-Zero to Non Return-Zero (RZ-NRZ). Hybrid technique is carried out to reduce crosstalk and interference among time multiplexed channels. Methods: The variety of experiments has been carried out under the controlled simulation environment with the help of optic system results reveal that very less crosstalk found in hybrid configuration. Proposed system is designed in such a way that it is capable to support 240gbps Optical Time Division Multiplexing (OTDM) over 180 km with acceptable bit error rate. Applications: The proposed technique is based on hybrid model and hence easily able to meet the huge demand for higher capacity and larger bandwidth, this system is able to provide high speed transmission.

Abstract

Medicinal system of drugs is shifting towards herbal drugs so it's time to come close to nature. Now a day's diseases are spreading worldwide in various individuals due to various reasons it may be due to eating hobbits, stress, lifestyle or some other factors like geographical area also plays a great role in it. So we have to implement more and more natural products in our diet to get rid of diseases. Cancer, atherosclerosis, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer's diseases are becoming common in our life. Antioxidants play a great role and are beneficial in our day to day life. Antioxidants acts as the body's first line of defense against damage from natural process called oxidation. Antioxidants have the property that they can protect from cancer. Plants are the main source of natural antioxidants, including several edible species. Among antioxidant molecules, tocopherols, carotenoids, ascorbic acids, and phenolic compounds stand out. Additionally, the antioxidants present in fruits and vegetables have been found to exhibit anticarcinogenic and antimutagenic. So, it's the need of time to add more and more natural products in our diet for our better living style and to fight against various diseases with our natural products. And to cure various ailments with our own natural ways by adding natural products in our diet for our healthy living and prosperous living.

Abstract

Biomass gasification is used to generate producer gas for the sustainable development. Now a days down draft gasifier is most widely used due to its characteristics like non production of tar production. Presently in India, few biomass based power plants are in use because of lack of knowledge and promotional policies of Government. Proper knowledge is essential for the smooth operation of biomass based power plant in full capacity. The main objective of the present study is to focus on the effect of moisture content on the gasification efficiency out of several influencing parameters of gasification technology.
