Abstract
Fenugreek (Trigonella foemim-graecum L.) is an annual legume crop cultivated in India and other parts of the world. This crop is new to Canada and North America as a whole. The most serious greenhouse pest of fenugreek was found to be the Western llowcr thrips. Potential pests in the field are Lygus bugs, and to a lesser extent alfalfa plant bugs and aphids. Fenugreek also attracted a number of beneficial predators, such as. ladybird beetles and parasitoid wasps. This observation seems to be beneficial for the crop as we could sec a pattern of lower number of aphids and higher number of ladybird beetles in this crop compared to alfalfa.
