Abstract

Objective: The present study was undertaken to investigate the glucose reducing level by Asystasia gangetica flowers with various doses (125, 250 and 500 mg/kg bw) in normal and streptozotocin induced diabetic rats. Methods: Acute and sub-acute toxicity of A. gangetica was evaluated in rats with various doses and its and serum parameters were analyzed. Diabetes was induced by giving streptozotocin (45 mg/kg bw) to the rats and after conformation of diabetes, A. gangetica flower ethanol extract (AGFEE) was administrated to the normal and diabetic rats for a period of 14 days. Body weight and glucose levels were determined after 7^th and 14^th day of the study. Glucose tolerance test was also carried out after administration of glucose at the rate of 2 g/kg bw till 14^th day. Results: The LD₅₀ of extract found to be higher than 2000 mg/kg bw and the extract did not show any significant changes in serum parameters. In blood glucose reducing activity the three doses showed significant lowering glucose levels, when compared with each doses at the dose of 250 mg/kg bw the AGFEE showed maximum activity. In diabetic control rats there was a significant elevation in blood glucose levels and reduction in body weight was produced and continued till the end of the study. No alterations were found in control and extract alone treated rats. Results showed AGFEE had exhibited significant hypoglycemic (glucose lowering) activity. Conclusion: Present in vivo model indicating that the plant extract contain active principle compound for the management of hyperglycemia.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to develop and validate the Mental Toughness Questionnaire (MTQ). Initially 120 items were generated and finally it reduced 40 items based on item analysts. To establish the reliability, test retest (0.635) and internal consistency reliability (0.912) were identified and to study the latent structure principal component factor analysts earned out and its three factors structure explains 45.4 % of the total variance. To cross validate the latent structure, confirmatory factor analysts carried out, and it supports the three dimensional oblique model. For concurrent validity, it is significantly correlated with mental toughness scale and for convergent validity it is related with the theoretically relevant constructs. For the predictive validity the scale is discriminating the successful and unsuccessful shooters. Finally, Mental Toughness score was positively correlated with the Social desirability score, however its magnitude was relatively small.

Abstract

Automatically characteristic the query group is useful for variety of various computer program elements and applications, like question suggestions, result ranking, question alterations, sessionization, and cooperative search. In our approach, we have a tendency to transcend approaches that have confidence matter similarity or time thresholds, and that we propose a lot of strong approach that leverages search question logs. Incremental algorithm algorithm is used in the proposed approach to improve the quality of search. Incremental algorithms are radically different from static strategies for the approach they build and use recommendation models.

Abstract

Objectives: India is known for its production of tender coconuts. Crops laid throughout the year not like any other fruits or vegetables for every 3/6months. The usage of coconut is immense (especially India) like in temples, homes, drinking purpose etc. (on regular basis). We can see lots of tender coconut shells as waste after using in above places and found them near to street bins and road sides. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Our paper is focusing on utilizing that waste in to coconut Briquettes. The tender coconut will be mashed in to pieces and then conjure by special pressing machine, while pressing the coconut shell will be inflamed to remove Moisture. Briquettes produced by this procedure will be having hallow elliptical shape Thus the briquettes we are looking to replace fuel is formed. Findings: The main difference from normal coal to our paper is effective and also environment friendly. These solid briquettes can be burnt up to 2-3 hrs. Whereas normal peat only lights up to 20 minutes at the max. Applications/Improvements: The normal coal produces carbon dioxide, sometimes carbon monoxide and Sulphur oxides. But this coconut shell brick lead to clean environment. Our aim re-usage of waste and keep environment clean.

Abstract

Paper and pulp industrial effluents as such (raw) causing pollution in discharging water bodies. Three different stages of waste effluent collected from paper and pulp industries were raw effluent (PAR), primary treated (PAP), and Secondary treated or outlet effluent (PAO). Collected effluent's various physiochemical parameters were analysed, these effluents treated by irrigating soybean crop and observation made on its ischolar_main length, shoot length; number of lateral ischolar_mains, mean value of leaf area, total chlorophyll content and number of leafs. The results showed paper pulp untreated effluent shown significantly negative effects on soybean crop due to overload of chemical content in the effluent. Subsequently treated effluent reduced the negative effect and final effluent showed positive effects on soybean crop.

Abstract

The people those who are staying in developing countries like India depends on bicycles for transportation due to their financial status. My paper shows a better way to save their energy while pedalling bicycle also the design provides economical and user friendly. Actually chain drive and sprockets causes reduction power loss during Transmission⁵ of power from major fir- wheel² to rear wheel. The bevel gears are used to rotate the shaft in 900 angles. The back wheel of the bicycle is connected with the Bevel gear¹. Thus the back wheel is rotated in perpendicular to the major fir-wheel. Thus the two wheeler will move forward. According to the direction of motion³ of the bicycle, the wheel will be moved forward or reverse. A long rod, set of bevel gears and a bicycle is used for this construction. Overall construction is very cheap and does not get wear and tear as the chain and sprocket⁴ mechanism. The material used for this assembly is mild steel. This is obtainable everywhere in the country. The present design calculations suitable to local available bicycles.
