Free space optics (FSO) is a promising solution for the need to very high data rate point-to point communication. FSO communication technology became popular due to its large bandwidth potential, unlicensed spectrum, excellent security and quick and inexpensive setup. Unfortunately, atmospheric turbulence-induced fading is one of the main impairments affecting FSO communications. To design a high performance communication link for the atmospheric FSO channel, it is of great importance to characterize the channel with proper model. In this paper, the modulation format is Q-ary PPM across lasers, with intensity modulation and ideal photodetectors are assumed to investigate the most efficient PDF models for FSO communication under turbulent condition. The performance results are evaluated in terms of symbol error probability (SEP) for different type of channel model and the simulation results confirm the analytical findings. Keywords

In wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) optical networks, intraband and/or interband crosstalk plays a major role in limiting practical implementation of an OXC subsystem. Again FIBER BRAGG GRATINGS (FBGs), due to their properties, are emerging as very important elements for both the optical fiber communication and sensing fields. The crosstalk sources are related to the different individual components of the OXC's. In this paper, an analytical model is established to evaluate the performance of an FBG-OC-based optical cross connect and proposed a novel scheme of transmission Fiber Bragg Grating for different wavelength separation and determine the BER and power penalty with optical wavelength division multiplexed cross-connect topologies at different bit rate. Keywords

The development of the Bangabandhu Satellite-1 has changed the direction of Bangladesh's satellite communication research. Bangladesh's dream project was the Bangabandhu Satellite 1. This satellite's primary goal is to maintain effective internet and communication services in remote places. First of all, we must concentrate to the depth of satellite communication system and its process to reach any conclusion. Our main goal of the research is to recognize a feasibility review on Bangabandhu satellite-2. So, for the feasibility studies we reviewed the most promising technical parts of Bangabandhu satellite-1. Here, we only focused the certain parts of the satellite such as coding, modulation, battery, purpose of ground station and the benefits of the satellite communication system. Then we moved on the main parts of the Bangabandhu satellite-2. As, Bangabandhu satellite-1 was Geosynchronous equatorial orbit (GEO) communication satellite and Bangabandhu satellite-2 will be Low Earth Orbit (LEO) observation satellite (LEO) so, some of configurations between them might be changed. Furthermore, we largely focused on Facts, efficiency, performance and noticeable difference between two satellites. Keywords
