In most of the developing countries including India, carcinoma of the cervix is the most common malignancy in the females. But, it is the easiest female cancer to prevent through screening using pap smear if people are aware of its early prevention. Therefore, a study was conducted to assess the awareness of women regarding cervical cancer and its association with selected variables. In view of the nature of the problem a descriptive approach and non-experimental research design was chosen for the study. The conceptual framework of the study was based on Betty Newman's Health system model. The study was conducted on a group of 300 women visiting Gynecology OPD of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Hospital, Faridkot, Punjab. A Self structured interview schedule was used to assess the awareness of the women. The findings of the study showed that 37.7% of the women had adequate awareness while 62.3% were inadequately aware of cervical cancer. By using pearson's chi square as method of statistical analysis a significant association was found between awareness level of the women and their educational status, age at marriage, occupation, monthly family income, H/O menstrual disorder at p<0.05. This concluded that inspite of being the most common malignancy in the females, they are inadequately aware of it. Therefore awareness campaigns should be arranged to make the people aware of this dreadly but preventable disease. Keywords

Isoflavones are found abundantly in soyabean though small quantities also occur in cabbage, grains, chickpeas and lentils. Belonging to the polyphenol family, isoflavones structurally similar to mammalian estrogens are able to synthesize estrogens in animal and human organisms; thus described as phytoestrogens.- Green Building Based on BIM

Background/Objectives: In India BIM will grow by 20% in next few years, for account of environmental parameter and rising demand. Using BIM with sustainable design and green construction techniques including maximizing the conservation of resources is referred as Green BIM. In the present study energy performance of a residential building is analyzed for different locations with software as well as manually. Methods/Statistical Analysis: First of all, building model is designed by using Revit software. After that model is converted in GBS which is one of the most important energy simulation tool integrated with Revit software. The model is located in different locations to study their energy impacts on the whole building. The energy use at different locations of model is concluded that large quantity of energy can be saved during its life cycle, in a well-located building. Therefore, the difference of both overall electricity uses and fuel uses are 35727 kWh & 54870 Therms, respectively. Findings: The combined energy cost saving between the best (New Delhi) and unfavorable (Brasilia, Brazil) is $19143 throughout a 30-year period. This provides a comparison with traditional method and resulted that how building cost affected annually as well as life cycle. Improvement/Applications: It improves the construction quality and reduces the energy use in the building. BIM is a platform which provides some complete and interactive components in a building to create a new type of an energy model.References

Background/Objectives: To conduct online survey on Indian BIM organizations. Secondly, results of 4D and 5D BIM applications are to be evaluated and compared between 5D BIM technique and traditional technique. Methods/ Statistical analysis: The methodology adopted in this research is based on BIM software. For 4D analysis, software like Navisworks Freedom and Navisworks simulation are used. The data collected from MSP file forming a Gantt chart which is further exported into Navisworks for time evaluation. In case of 5D, BIM Revit software is used for calculating cost and then comparison is made between Sigma estimate and traditional cost estimate technique. Findings: This research concludes that 4D and 5D modeling techniques play an important role in designing work of any construction project. It helps the owner or designer for gaining accurate work progress, planning a short-term arrangement in less time, construction planning and to develop high economy at low scale for small level projects. This study evaluates the difference in time and cost taken by traditional construction techniques of residential house building and 4D and 5D BIM techniques. Traditional techniques require more time than BIM technique because it reduces time up to 80% for the same project. The cost of project by using 5D BIM technique decreases 20-30% after comparing with traditional technique which helps the Indian construction projects to maintain overall budget of project and increased economy. Improvements/Applications: BIM serves several applications which include: Better cost scheduling, recognition of time based clashes, estimation of cost during whole project lifecycle, clash detection and MEP BIM coordination etc.References

Introduction: During pregnancy many changes occur in women’s self-concept and the changes in their self-image and the shift in focus from themselves to the needs of the foetus and unfamiliar territory of pregnancy and early motherhood creates anxiety. Relaxation techniques are a great way to help in managing anxiety such as progressive muscle relaxation technique(PMRT) which may be very useful for treating anxiety symptoms during pregnancy.
Aim: The aim of this study is to assess the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on anxiety among antenatal mothers.
Material & Method: Quasi Experimental design with two group pre-test and post-test design was used. Conceptual framework for the study was adopted from Ludwig Von Bertalanffy (1968) General System Model was chosen to conduct the study. Through convenience sampling, 35 subjects were selected in experimental and 35 in control group. Subjects in experimental group (n=35) were provided PMRT and conventional care and in control group (n=35) only conventional care was provided. Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale (PASS) and Socio demographic data sheet was used to collect the data.
Results: Results revealed that there was significant difference in level of anxiety after four weeks of progressive muscle relaxation technique in experimental group (p value 0.005) as compared to control group. However, there was no association of pre-test level of anxiety with selected demographic variables
Conclusion: The study concluded that progressive muscle relaxation technique was effective in reducing anxiety among antenatal mothers after 4 weeks of intervention in experimental group.
